Oral and maxillofacial surgery requires a four year dental school education and then an additional four to six years of hospital-based surgical and anesthesia training. Dr. Kempers and Dr. Nelson practices a full scope of oral and maxillofacial surgery with expertise ranging from corrective jaw surgery, dental implant surgery, and wisdom tooth removal. The surgical staff at Whitewater Oral Surgery Group are experienced, certified oral and maxillofacial surgical assistants. The staff are trained in assisting with I.V. general anesthesia and patients are continuously monitored during and after surgery. If hospitalization is required for more extensive and involved procedures then the anesthesia is provided by the hospital anesthesiology departments. We have well-informed administrative personnel, knowledgeable in health and insurance policies and are CPR certified.
