Welcome to Mountain West Dermatology.
Our goal is to provide quality medical and cosmetic skin care to individuals and families in Idaho Falls, Eastern Idaho and Western Wyoming.
Dermatology is the study of the skin and all skin related issues. Whether it be skin cancer, an irritating rash, hair loss, fungal infections, wrinkles, or dull looking skin, we have the medical team to address your concerns. Dr. Mark Hinkson, a Board Certified Dermatologist, is pleased to have Rob Willis, PA-C and Amy Purser, Licensed Master Esthetician, as part of his skin care team.
We are a contracted physician with the major insurance companies in the area.New Patients Enter Here
In Dermatology, we say "pale is perfect."
But pale may not be your thing. We are pleased to offer Tan Towels, a safe way to have a 'healthy glow'. Tan Towels are pre-moistened towelettes that contain a self tanning solution. Just wipe the towelette on the skin and you're on your way to a natural looking tan.
Available in Classic (light to fair skin tones) or Plus (medium to darker skin tones), there is a Tan Towel that works for you. Visit our Tan Towel page to learn more and review a special introductory offer.
Treatment for Hyperhydrosis
(escessive sweating of underarm, hands and feet)
If you suffer from excessive sweating, not related to exercise or physical activity, we have a new treatment that can help. Hyperhydrosis (excessive sweating) usually affects the hands, feet and underarms. Treatment using Galvanic Current has been shown to help reduce or eliminate sweat problems. Follow this link to learn more about Hyperhydrosis.
Medical Identity Theft
There seems to be no end to the ways our identity can be stolen. The concept of Medical Identity Theft is simple: Receive medical care using assumed names, birthdates and insurance information.
The result is extremely dangerous to the victim: false medical histories, bills and mis-diagnosis. If the thief has a terminal illness, it prevents the victim from obtaining health coverage. It is difficult to erase erroneous medical information and convince insurance companies that you did not receive the care. Learn what we are doing to protect you and what you can do to prevent medical identity theft.
