CBK & Associates, known throughout Illinois and Northern Indiana as CB-Kramer has a rich history, dating back before WWII when the original owner, Mr. Fred W. Kramer, was friends with John Cleaver and worked for him during the war. Then, in 1947 Fred W. Kramer and Associates began a fifty year relationship with Cleaver-Brooks Boiler Co. and to this day, one of the first Sales Engineers and eventual partner and owner, Mr. James E. McKeegans son, J.C. McKeegan, carries on the sales and application engineering tradition of the highly respected Kramer organization.

When in 1997, Fred W. Kramer merged the Sales operations with the Service operations, owned by Cleaver-Brooks, to become CB-Kramer Sales and Service Co., in 2001 the organization found a common ownership alliance with Trabue Industrial Systems in St. Louis, such that sales and service covered all of Missouri, Kansas, Iowa, Nebraska, Illinois and Northern Indiana. This alliance allowed for better utilization of service personnel, expanded parts warehousing for emergency needs and considerable depth in many different engineering sciences, to include EE, ME, Engr. Mgt., Metallurgy and Environmental.
