Likewise, presentations were made in the High School Series presented by the United Dairymen of Idaho and the U.S. Army; Lyle Pearson Acura Sport Compact chase; and the Fairly Reliable Bob's Club Series. Additionally, the top five finishing students received merchandise thanks to Pecht Family Farms and K & N Filters.
Voted on by his piers, Chris Jaggers was chosen as Bracket Racer of the Year. Jaggers also won his second Super Pro Track Championship. Sweeping honors for "Lady Driver of the Year" was Lynde Fischer.
One of the highlights of the evening was the 25th presentation of the Racemaster award. Mark Kidd from Twin Falls was acknowledged for this very special Firebird Hall of Fame type award. PEPSI NIGHTFIRE FEATURED IN DRAG RACER MAGAZINE
If you havent had a chance to drop by the newsstand lately, you should make a point to go hunt down the Drag Racer magazine title. We picked up our copies at any Fred Meyer store. Not only is it a cool drag rag, but it also showcases a big spread on the Pepsi Nightfire Nationals in the January 2011 issue.
Thanks to the outstanding photography of Blair Alderton, Jessica Himes and David Fudge, the Nightfire benefited from five whopping pages of dramatic color imagery, plus an inset shot on the cover of the magazine! The L.A. Hooker AA/Funny Car is featured on the cover and the body of the story includes a fantastic array of professional and sportsman photos.
We want to convey our appreciation to Pete Ward, the new editor of the publication. He certainly went the extra mile to earmark space for Firebird and for that wed like to say - THANKS!
