Students in Senior High and Junior High are invited to an evening at the Bella Vita down at the Snake River Landing for a night of hanging out and acoustic worship. We will be hanging out at the Bella Vita from 7pm to 8:30 pm on Tuesday night, November 9th. Junior High students be sure to show up here on Tuesday night (no Wednesday night Midweek that week). Be sure to bring a little extra cash for coffee drinks or Italian Sodas. The kitchen will also be open if you'd like to get a sandwich or deserts.

Summer brings a flurry of activity in maintaining and improving our Facility and 2010 is no exception. We all are enjoying our beautiful, newly upgraded worship and stage area. Many thanks to Don King, Kevin Odette, Mike & Bonita Avery, Gene Hansen and many others for many hours and great care given to this project. On June 5th Tim Topliff, Mike Braden, Greg Sharp, Jim Springer, Claire Moser and Larry Lebow changed belts and filters in our roof top HVAC units. Chris Hayes and a crew of volunteers have managed to keep our lawns and ball field mowed in spite of a very rainy May and June, and Claire Moser has kept the mowers running. Larry Lebow and Will Kopinski work on one building item or another pretty much continually. They're currently: 1) upgrading our heating units in the Multipurpose room by adding vent hoods and dampers, 2) preparing to seal the exterior of the brick of the Multipurpose room and 3) overseeing the resurfacing and repainting of our parking lot. Larry has also been meeting with Constance Blyth, Heather King, Chrystal McCormick, Kathy Robinson, Kevin Dekold and others to plan improvements to our kitchen. Patrick Holmes is helping us design a new maintenance building. When completed this will provide much needed space for equipment and tool storage, materials storage and work space. Claire Moser, our maintenance worker, has plenty of tools neatly stored in his "office," otherwise known as the water heater closet. He's looking forward to having a real work bench. Pastor Dan is leading the charge to make our present library area more useful and attractive. Contact him if you're willing to help with this. In a different vein, Dennis Macieski has been at work developing policies and teams to address safety and security issues. All of this work is encouraging and exciting. Let's remember, however, that the most important building maintenance and construction at CCC is being done by our Lord. "You are no longer strangers and aliens, but you are fellow citizens with the saints, and are of God's household, having been built on the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Christ Jesus Himself being the corner stone, in whom the whole building, being fitted together, is growing into a holy temple in the Lord, in whom you also are being built together into a dwelling of God in the Spirit." Ephesians 4:19-22.
