Advent is about hope, light, expectation
and the dawning of our salvation

During this Advent and Christmas season, our special worship opportunities are listed below:

7:00 p.m. worship
pie social immediately following worship

5:00 p.m. lessons and carols
led by our youth

7:00 p.m. candlelight celebration led by praise band

11:00 p.m. candlelight celebration led by organ and choir

Gather with us for worship on Sunday or Wednesday!
Sunday Worship: (Advent worship begins November 28 and lasts four Sundays)

9:00 a.m. worship with organ / piano and choir, Holy Communion is celebrated.
10:10 - 11:05 a.m. Adult and Children's Sunday school:
11:15 a.m. worship with praise band, Holy Communion is celebrated.

Wednesday Worship (the first and third Wednesdays of each month):

5:45 p.m. potluck in the fellowship hall, bring a dish to share
6:30 p.m. worship (in the sanctuary with contemporary music, a conversation about the Gospel, Holy Communion is celebrated)
7:30 p.m. adult discussion group on "Ten Questions That Are Transforming The Faith" from the book "New Kind Of Christianity" by Brian McLaren (group meets in the library)

The preschool is closed today, November 23, 2010 due to snow.

11.13/2010 November 14th is Celebration / Commitment Sunday
This is the annual day members and friends of Shepherd of the Valley are invited to commit a portion of their financial resources for the coming year to Gods mission unfolding in and through this ministry.

Our next Red Cross Blood Drive is on November 6. This is a great thing to do and now it could be even more profitable for those committing the time to bless others. The Red Cross just published the following sweepstakes for those to commit and show up to give blood.
