Epworth's Part in the Whole Church of Christ
Although a small church, Epworth Chapel on the Green has a role to play in helping bring together once again the Wesleyan and Anglican traditions, to strengthen the vitality and orthodoxy of both. The people at Epworth work toward that end every Sunday by worshiping and learning together.
Epworth's rector and pastor is the Rev. Dr. Brook Thelander, who holds a doctorate in homiletics (preaching) from Knox College, Toronto School of Theology in the University of Toronto.
Dr. Thelander's seminary master's of divinity is from Asbury Theological Seminary in Wilmore, Kentucky. He holds a bachelor's in Biblical Literature and Practical Theology from MidAmerica Nazarene University in Olathe, Kansas. He is married and has two children.
